Irene Stephen & Associates' Built Environment Consultancy division is a dynamic and focused department of the company. Because of the division’s relatively small size, it provides services mainly in Construction Cost consultancy and Building Design.
With a growing demand for development particularly in the residential and real estate sector, the division offers its integrated services to mainly private residential developments, this includes:
• Residential Houses (Free-Standing)
• Townhouses
• Flats (Small, Medium scale)
• Holiday Homes
The division sets itself apart by being able to provide the dual/integrated services of designing residential developments within the limits and considerations of clients' building cost budget. This results in delivering projects and development proposals that meet the preliminary needs of clients: Design and Budget.
With most clients steering away from the traditional method of approaching two different consultants; one for designing and the other for cost consultancy and with only a handful of companies providing integrated design & cost solutions, this division has found relevance and convenience in a market position that is currently relatively unsaturated.
The division has a healthy network of other consultants working in the built environment. This allows the division to refers projects to other consultants if the project and its scope so requires, with limited inconvenience to the clients.

Colluding construction firms agree to pay R1.5bn to help transformation

The South African Government reached an agreement with seven listed construction groups found to have participated in collusion. The companies will contribute R1.5 billion to help black-owned partners grow.
