Board of Directors
The Board of Directors at Irene Stephen & Associates governs and collectively manages the company subject to the company's founding Memorandum of Incorporation drawn up and adopted in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008. The responsibilities of the Board includes managing the company effectively, determining objectives, strategies, policies and services of the company within the ambit of the company's predefined vision and mission to ensure its growth.
Furthermore, the Board has the responsibility of ensuring and maintaining the company's financial security and compliance, its business operations as well as steering healthy and ethical business practices.
Because Irene Stephen & Associates is bound by its Memorandum of Incorporation and the Companies Act, the Board entrusted to their respective offices are accountable to the full roll of Shareholders.
The Board of Directors consists of 5 executive members. 60% of the executive members are females. 80% of the executive members fall within the Youth bracket. 100% of the Board is Black and is a Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor.

In addition to the Board and its functions, the company has a select of Heads of Divisions. Given the complex nature of a multi-disciplinary company that offers business across 4 sectors, the Heads of Divisions are a product of the operational requirements and strategic plans of Irene Stephen & Associates.
The Heads of Divisions are responsible for the strategic and operational management of the four divisions. The Heads of Divisions also ensure the efficient running of the divisions, monitor project outputs, portfolio performance, supervise that projects delivery are in line with good practices and maintain client relations. The Heads of Divisions report directly to the Executive Board.

Integrated Reporting
The nature of the Irene Stephen & Associates' business demands for the consolidation of its key performance indicator reports and dashboards.
As a result, the company has resolved to drafting and publishing consolidated annual reports that accurately reflect the performance levels of the company as required by the roll of shareholders. Similar to the adoption of Strategic Outlining as part of its corporate tradition, the Integrated Annual Reports help the company and its management team gain insight into the company's functions, progress and areas where improvement may be prioritized. This is important for Irene Stephen & Associates as it aids in refining the company's client-focused objectives.
The drafting and consolidation of the Integrated Annual Reports shall be drawn, edited and published in accordance with the King Code 3 guidelines of Reporting.

Strategic Outline
The Strategic Plan for Irene Stephen & Associates outlines the strategic goals that need to be accomplished in order to develop and grow the company consistent with its vision over the next 10 years.
At Irene Stephen & Associates, the Strategic Outline is how we measure our business performance and growth progress. It is one of the key ways we are able to commit ourselves to the objectives we set in order to meet our business ideals in the short, medium and long terms.
The strategic goals for 2017 - 2027 are:
• Expanding the company and its client base
• Deliver measurably excellent results/project outputs to the first 2 clients in each division
• Increase Human Resources at Managerial, Consultant and Administrative levels to increase efficiency of Departments
• Acquire more Assets and Physical Resources for the Company
• Infiltrate the Medium-Size Firm market
• Record 10% + year-on-year increase in revenue
Sustainability
At Irene Stephen & Associates we strongly believe that sustainability is an important and integral part of our business model. The company ensures sustainability through empowering and investing in its human capital via formal and informal avenues.
Informal avenues are offered mainly to current employees of the the company by incentivized participation in different entrepreneurship-focused programs and initiatives, dedicated skills and development tutorials and inclusion and rotation of staff members from across the different divisions in the various projects undertaken by Irene Stephen & Associates. In so doing, we accelerate employees' versatility, acclimate them to the complex nature of the business, enhance their problem-solving and interpersonal skills, hone their communication proficiency and expand their network base.
Formal avenues are afforded to individuals that are pursuing formal tertiary education and training in disciplines that can contribute to the operational and service matrix of the company.
Irene Stephen & Associates invests in its human capital by offering partial financial assistance towards university/college fees. We mainly assist in covering application, registration, tuition, book, stationery and food fees. After successfully obtaining their qualifications, the sponsored beneficiaries are absorbed and trained for one year. Thereafter they join the vibrant Irene Stephen & Associates team. Vacation work with a stipend is also included in the scheme.
Given the current economic downturn, Irene Stephen & Associates is unfortunately only able to extend this opportunity to eligible Shareholders' and Employees' children.
Going forward, Irene Stephen & Associates intends to open this initiative to a larger pool of people. Our commitment to investing in human capital to stimulate our sustainability remains a key component of our corporate tradition.
